I’m Laura Hathway, and my practice is the Okanagan Literacy Centre, serving Vernon and Kelowna in BC. I also provide online services throughout the province.
We help Pre-K to Grade 7 students overcome barriers in literacy through tailored online and in-person intervention in Orton- Gillingham. I focus on the foundational components of reading and writing, phonemic awareness, decoding , spelling and fluency.
Our approach is multisensory and it integrates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning to help students internalize concepts.
As an experienced educator, I strongly believe in creating a fun, supportive environment for students backed up with professionalism and attention to detail.
